We have asked healthcare professionals about the problem and the relevance of our product

@Lise Ekholdt, MD, General Practice:

“It is recognized that biofilm forms within 24 hours in endotracheal tubes of ventilated patients. Unfortunately, we have no methods to prevent formation of biofilm today.

In my opinion a reduction of days in the ventilator could be achieved if biofilm formation was prevented.

We should focus more on the socio-economic benefits such as fewer days in the ventilator and consequently fewer cases of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs)”

The product from UV Clinical which consists of a disposable probe and the UVC light source prevents biofilm to form.
